SCULPTURE and SHAPED Paintings
Rooted in a minimalist, reductive approach, these sculptural and shaped paintings are are abstracted from components used in boat building and are based on shapes related to rudders, keels and rabbets. These forms often emerge from shapes in my flat canvases.They are sculpted with a variety of mediums including: Styrofoam, plaster, polyester resin, wood, oil and enamel paints.
