Abstract Topographies
These abstracted landscapes have evolved from an early focus on sea geometry and the structures of boats toward a broader investigation of landscape and the emotional experience of place. Natural and built forms overlap; lines and contours become traces of observation and memory. Color responds to the changing qualities of natural light, while layered surfaces retain evidence of the physical process of making.
